ABC15.com reported that three people were killed this morning when a school bus was involved in a head-on crash with a four-door sedan.  According to the news article, police investigators believe that the sedan crossed the center line on State Route 86 for an unknown reason resulting in the fatal crash.

Two males and one female in the sedan were pronounced dead when rescue workers arrived at the scene.  Two children on the school bus were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

A man was arrested for trying to trade in his 1992 BMW in the "cash for clunkers" program, reports azcentral.com.   The car is suspected of being the one involved in a hit-and-run accident which resulted in the death of a bicyclist.  The man, Timothy Kissida, 23 is accused of the hit-and-run accident at Cave Creek Road north of Deer Valley Road.  The car accident took place around midnight on Saturday.

A collision injured four people on Monday night, reports azcentral.com.  One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a fire truck on the way to the scene of a fire.  The fire engine apparently had both the emergency lights and sirens on while driving, but another driver pulled out into the intersection at Interstate 17 on Dunlap and struck the fire engine, forcing it across a median and into head-on into oncoming traffic.  Nine people were treated at the scene and released, but four others were sent to hospitals for treatment.  Two of the victims were members of the Phoenix Fire Department and one of them is a captain who is in critical condition.  It is reported that the woman who was driving the car is also in critical condition.
