Authorities say that the charges will probably be increased due to the fact that Almaleki's daughter, 20-year-old Noor Almaleki, later died from her injuries.

Scottsdale Man Arrested After Alleged Robbery Attempt

| No TrackBacks

AZCentral.com reported today that 26-year-old Jerome Whatton was taken into custody on Friday in connection with an attempted theft at an Albertson's pharmacy.

According to authorities, the robbery occurred when the suspect went into the pharmacy on Thursday with a note demanding that the pharmacist give him all of the store's supply of OxyContin (a strong painkiller that is reportedly often abused).  When the store's pharmacist told him that she wasn't able to access the OxyContin, Whatton left the store.

He was later picked up by police and charged with armed robbery.
