A collision injured four people on Monday night, reports azcentral.com. One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a fire truck on the way to the scene of a fire. The fire engine apparently had both the emergency lights and sirens on while driving, but another driver pulled out into the intersection at Interstate 17 on Dunlap and struck the fire engine, forcing it across a median and into head-on into oncoming traffic. Nine people were treated at the scene and released, but four others were sent to hospitals for treatment. Two of the victims were members of the Phoenix Fire Department and one of them is a captain who is in critical condition. It is reported that the woman who was driving the car is also in critical condition.
